The Rangers clinched their 2012 playoff berth with a 4-2 win over the New Jersey Devils on Monday night at Madison Square Garden. It was the earliest clinch date for the Blueshirts since the playoffs went to their current conference format -- beating the 1993-94 clinch date by three days.
