The Rangers got back to basics on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden and soundly defeated Nashville 3-0 behind goals from Dan Girardi, John Mitchell, and Ryan Callahan to end the Predators' winning streak at five games. The victory, behind a 27-save shutout from Henrik Lundqvist, enabled the Rangers to widen their lead over the rest of the NHL atop the league standings as they became the first team to reach 62 points on the season.
