Prior to Dec. 31, when the Rangers Alumni faced the Flyers Alumni at Citizens Bank Park, Hockey Hall of Famer Mark Messier had only played in one previous alumni game outdoors. But The Captain, one of eight Hall of Famers in the game at Philadelphia, was no stranger to the experience of playing on frozen ponds as a youngster, and he told reporters that the game against the Flyers brought back memories.
