Martin Biron said the urgency he is feeling in preseason is not due to a possible goaltending battle, but rather his desire to show the new coaching staff that he is the right man for the job. He took a step towards that on Tuesday night when he turned away every shot he faced in just under 32 minutes of work against the Flyers in the team's 3-2 win.
After the game, Biron discussed that urgency, as well as the team's feeling towards the new coaching staff's style of play.
Benoit Pouliot scored the game winner in his first game in a Rangers uniform. The winger met with reporters after the game to discuss whether his goal was a result of the staff's game plan, and gaining confidence from scoring in the preseason.
Finally, Darroll Powe spoke about scoring against his old team, breaking a long scoreless drought and what the coaching staff wants from the team moving forward.
