Simply put, Henrik Lundqvist was perfect in the final two games of the Rangers opening round series against the Washington Capitals. He did not allow a goal in either game, both of which the Rangers had to win to keep their season alive. He was outstanding in Game 7, making 35 saves for his second shutout, as the Rangers advanced to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

After their Game Seven win, Lundqvist met with reporters to discuss the win and his shutout, the way the team played in front of him, the skill the Capitals had, the team’s confidence as the series went on, team defense and overcoming a 3-2 deficit.
