Athletes often say they must have a short memory during a season, especially following disappointing losses. Defenseman Ryan McDonagh this morning said the team must quickly forget about last night's 4-2 defeat against the Flyers and look ahead to the team's final six games as they continue to push towards the playoffs. McDonagh spoke about that mindset with reporters, as well as being mentally prepared for the start of each game, avoiding a "trap" game with teams not competiting for a playoff spot, the team's continued poor starts to games and Marc Staal's continued progress towards getting back in the lineup.
