Five different players scored goals for Connecticut Wednesday night as the Whale (1-3-1) won its first game of the season, defeating the Devils up in Albany 5-2. JT Miller, the Rangers first round selection in the 2011 NHL Draft, scored his first professional goal---a beauty in which he maneuvered deftly around fellow first rounder Adam Larsson---and Brandon Segal contributed a goal and an assist for the Whale, which received a 31-save performance in goal from Jason Missiaen.
Kyle Jean scored his team-high fourth goal, Tommy Grant netted his first, and Andrew Yogan contributed a power play goal, as well, for Connecticut.
