It was 18 months between games for winger Chad Kolarik, who missed all of last season following knee surgery, but you would have barely known that based on his strong play in the Whale's pre-season opener Wednesday night against Albany.
Kolarik skated strong, tangled with several Devils players, and even rang a shot off the post in the second period.
After the game the smile could not be wiped off Kolarik's face as he answered questions about his return to health, scrappy play on the ice, and what youngsters like JT Miller, Christian Thomas, Andrew Yogan, and Kyle Jean brought to the team on Wednesday.
