Gene Carr 1-on-1

Gene Carr was acquired by the Rangers from the St. Louis Blues during the club's 109-point campaign in 1971-72 and the then-20-year-old proceeded to score 8 goals and rgister 16 points in 60 games with the Blueshirts before adding a goal and three assists during 16 post-season appearances.

So what was it like for a 20 year-old rookie to join a team of future hall of famers like Rod Gilbert, Brad Park, and Jean Ratelle? BlueshirtsUnited.com recently caught up with Carr---who was known for his long-flowing blonde locks during his three seasons on Broadway and 465 games in the NHL with the Blues, Rangers, Kings, and Penguins---to find out that answer and much more.
