Jay Wells spent more than 20 years as a defenseman in the NHL, including four seasons with the Rangers from 1992 to 1995. His steady defensive presence played a big part in the Blueshirts' run to the 1994 Stanley Cup championship -- giving him a chance to live out a childhood dream by raising the Cup for the first and only time that year. Now an assistant coach in the Ontario Hockey League, Wells has nothing but fond memories of his years with the Rangers -- a team he initially wasn't sure he wanted to join. He shared some of those memories, and thoughts about his former teammate Jeff Beukeboom, with BlueshirtsUnited.com's Jim Cerny in a recent, exclusive interview.
