The Rangers played their game to perfection again on Monday night, opening the Eastern Conference Final series with a 3-0 victory over the  New Jersey Devils at home. With the game still scoreless after two periods, the opportunistic Blueshirts wasted little time taking the lead on a goal by Dan Girardi at 0:53 of the third. Chris Kreider followed with another tally to make it 2-0, and Artem Anisimov sealed it with an empty-netter. Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist made 21 saves for his second shutout of the 2012 playoffs.
