Marian Gaborik's goal in the final minute of the third period broke up a shutout bid by Washington's Braden Holtby and gave the Blueshirts a shot at another miracle finish on Wednesday night in Game 6 of their series vs. the Capitals at Verizon Center. But that was as close as the Rangers would come in a 2-1 loss that forced a decisive Game 7 at The Garden. Fortunately, no better place could be the site of that game, since the Rangers have never lost a Game 7 on home ice in their history. Alex Ovechkin and Jason Chimera scored for Washington, which got 30 saves from Holtby.
