The Mac Truck

Even by the lofty standards he set during the regular season, Ryan McDonagh put forth an amazing performance in the Rangers 2-1 triple overtime win in Game 3---logging more than 53 minutes of ice-time, and and contributing at both ends of the ice. Are you surprised---or awed---by his warrior-like performance in Game 3? And do you think he will be able to recoup and be at the top of his game in Game 4 after playing so many minutes Wednesday night?

Heard the announcers say it takes 4 games not 3 to win in the playoffs. It was in terms of Ryan being able to go the distance what with so many minutes coupled with the physicality of the series. Sometimes they get it right - I too am concerned especially with 2 more series still to go. You are the man Mac! LGR...

I dont know how he was able to continue after that hendricks hit which was a completely clean hit...The players have been respectful of one another and that is great to see...second round series are usually when you start to see the better hockey...

Mac is a warrior he plays the way the game dictates him to play. He would have been ready to play the next day if he had to .

why were the announcers so focused on the minutes that ovy played? takes away from a great game. the owner of the caps will remind dale hunter that he can coach beagle next year somewhere else if he does not play the $multi-million superstar more minutes; don't worry.

Not surprised at all. He's young and he's very well conditioned. I'm sure he will recoup and perform great in Game 4.

We have Warriors dying, every day, in Afghanistan. Please don't demean the word by using if for highly paid entertainers, which is exactly what professional athletes are. I love hockey, and I love the Rangers. But they are NOT warriors. After their visit to Arlington National Cemetery, where they saw the price that real warriors pay, the Rangers would be the first to tell you that.

Noone here is comparing athletes to the actual war veterans. I served myself in the military. Do I consider myself as a warrior? Perhaps, but it has nothing to do with the hockey. Yes, the term warriors is derived from word war, but here it is used in a different context. 'Warriors' has been used in all types of sports, movies, and other things, but it's just different. No disrespect...
