“ It's obviously tough this time of year, you want those two points because those two points are pretty big, and you are not happy with the loss by any means, but at the same time you have to take all the positives out of this one. And there were many. ”
- Ryan Callahan
“ I thought we were the better team, but (Semyon Varlamov) saved the day for them. We should have scored more goals with the way we played, but he stood on his head. I still thought we'd come back and tie it, though. ”
- Henrik Lundqvist
“ It is frustrating losing this game, just with how well we played and with good intensity. But we need to score on our chances, and that's been a problem for a little bit now. It's tough to win when you score only one goal. ”
- Carl Hagelin

The Rangers dominated large sections of Saturday's game against the Avalanche---including pretty much the entire third period---but ended up on the short end of a 3-1 final due to the simply amazing play of Colorado netminder Semyon Varlamov, who made 41 saves.

After the game caught up with Ryan Callahan, Henrik Lundqvist, and Carl Hagelin to assess the defeat.
