Mere moments after his scintillating finish 2:59 into overtime had lifted the Rangers to a dramatic 3-2 win over the Sabres at Madison Square Garden, it was obvious Ryan Callahan would yet again be the recipient of the Broadway Hat. And indeed the Rangers' captain donned the Broadway Hat following the game---one in which he scored his 100th career goal and capped a thrilling Blueshirts comeback.
"I guess if you were going to script your 100th goal, this would be it," laughed a smiling Callahan in the post-game locker room.
Of the big win, Callahan said, "It's nice, definitely, to get that two points and get over that hump actually. I thought we played well the whole game, put a lot of pressure on them. We had a lot of chances. Last night we came back, but didn't get that extra point, and tonight we did. It's something we can build on."
