Shortly after the Rangers 4-3 loss in the shootout Friday night at the Nassau Coliseum---one that dropped the Blueshirts to 1-2-1 in their last four games---goaltender Martin Biron, center Brian Boyle, and the team's head coach John Tortorella analyzed the loss, as well as the club's mini skid of late.
“ It's a good place to be, good to have teams gunning for you because you are on the top. And we talked about how good teams and good players play well when things are going good, and then play even better when fighting adversity. We need that desperation to stay where we are at. ”
- Martin Biron
“ For us, a lot of us haven't really been in this situation, I guess, and it's a challenge, but one we are ready and willing to accept. We have a great mix of guys, and we're going to stick together and try and get through this little blip and start rolling again. ”
- Brian Boyle
“ I am happy we battled back and found a way to get a point, but as far as where we are mentally in certain situations of the game at this time of the year, we need to be sharper. ”
- John Tortorella
