John Moore returned to the Rangers' lineup this week after recovering from concussion-like symptoms he had following the March 21 game in Columbus. Despite missing nearly two weeks, Moore looked right at home and had one of his most productive weeks offensively of the season.
On his first shift, Moore blasted a slap shot past Semyon Varlamov of Colorado to take a 1-0 lead in the first period. Moore followed it up with an assist Saturday night when Mats Zuccarello got a piece of his slap shot in the second period to get the Rangers on the scoreboard.
With the absence of Ryan McDonagh due to a shoulder injury, Moore has been asked to step up and play alongside Dan Girardi, and thus far has showed he's ready to take on the added responsibility.
