No. 3: Carl Hagelin -- 3 goals

Carl Hagelin had scored two goals in his past 22 games before netting three against the Winnipeg Jets Friday for his first career hat-trick. The Olympic Silver-medalist opened the scoring with an awkward deflection of a Kevin Klein shot from the point and then — with only 8 seconds remaining in the second period — Martin St. Louis made a brilliant backhand pass to Hagelin streaking up the slot, which he back-handed into the open net to give the Rangers a 3-2 lead. He completed his hat trick and sealed he Rangers’ 4-2 victory, with a quick shot from the far circle nearly halfway through the third period off a pretty pass from Brad Richards.

Hagelin stepped up in a big way in a game the Rangers needed to win to snap a losing skid.
