Productive Week for Allen
Defenseman Conor Allen registered a goal and two assists in four games this week for the Hartford Wolf Pack. Allen picked up a goal and an assist in Hartford’s 4-3 win over Portland last Tuesday, and later picked up a helper in Hartford’s second win of the week over Portland on Saturday. Allen has six goals and 16 assists this season in 52 games.
Wolf Pack leading scorer Oscar Lindberg had another big week, registering three assists in four games. In 56 games this season, Lindberg has 13 goals and 24 assists. Since Dec. 26, Lindberg has eight goals and 17 assists.
Jesper Fast picked up a goal and two assists for Hartford, while Ryan Bourque scored two goals in four games. Forward Marek Hrivik had two assists as well as a highlight-reel shootout goal in Hartford’s 2-1 win over Hershey on Feb. 28.
Nicholls, Jean and Missiaen Have Big Weeks in the E
Forward Josh Nicholls picked up three goals and two assists in four games this week for for the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL. His big week led him to be nominated for the ECHL player of the week. Nicholls, who was signed by the Rangers last year, has 11 goals and 17 assists in 48 games this season for Greenville.
Kyle Jean’s two assists in one game helped springboard him back to Hartford earlier this week. In 18 games, Jean scored four goals and seven assists. In 30 games with Hartford, he’s registered two goals and two assists.
Goaltender Jason Missiean picked up three wins for Greenville this week, continuing his stellar play in net for the Road Warriors. Missiaen allowed just five goals over the three starts and improved his record to 10-3-0-1 with a 2.38 goals against average and a .931 save percentage.
Tambellini Keeps Scoring
Rangers 2013 third-round pick Adam Tambellini continued his strong play for Calgary of the Western Hockey League. The 19-year-old picked up a goal and an assist in two games, giving him 15 goals, 14 assists and 29 points in 22 games.
Buchnevich Producing in the KHL
Rangers 2013 third-round pick Pavel Buchnevich returned to action this week to pick up a goal and two assists in three games for Severstal of the Kontinental Hockey League. The 18-year-old winger has seven goals and 11 assists in 39 games.
Two Helpers in Two Games for Boo
Rangers 2012 second-round pick Cristoval ‘Boo’ Nieves picked up two assists in two games this week for the University of Michigan. The Wolverines split a home-and-home with Ohio State University. The 6-foot-3, 192-pound center has two goals and 13 assists in 29 games this season.
Rangers 2012 fifth-round pick Thomas Spelling has been on a tear for Sonderjyske in Denmark, scoring six goals and four assists in his last seven games. The 6-foot-1, 176-pound winger has 24 goals and 27 assists in 40 games, good enough for fifth in the league in scoring.
