After a nearly three-week hiatus due to the Olympics, the Rangers picked up right where they left off in defeating the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks, 2-1, at Madison Square Garden Thursday night. Cam Talbot nearly pitched a shutout, but lost it with under 12 seconds remainign, while Derick Brassard and Rick Nash each scored goals.
