Stars Shine in Hartford
The Hartford Wolf Pack returned to action following last week’s All Star break and despite an up and down week of 1-1-1 hockey, the squads top players performed very well.
Leading the way was J.T. Miller, who registered two goals and three assists in the three games, including two goals and two assists in the team’s 5-2 win over Springfield. Miller has posted 13 goals and eight assists in 24 games in Hartford.
Rangers 2009 third-round pick Ryan Bourque continued his recent offensive surge with three goals and an assist in the three games this week, including a two-goal performance against Springfield. Bourque has posted new career-highs in goals (13) and points (21).
Jesper Fast and Oscar Lindberg matched each other this week with two assists each, while defenseman Conor Allen had two helpers of his own.
No. 50 for Duclair
Rangers 2013 third-round pick Anthony Duclair posted a goal and an assist in two games for Quebec of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The goal gave the 18-year-old 50 goals on the season in just 55 games, and currently the only 50-goal scorer in the League. The assist gave Duclair 44 on the season, and he is currently second in the QMJHL in points with 94.
Tambellini Remains White-Hot in Calgary
Rangers 2013 third-rounder Adam Tambellini notched five goals and three assists in just four games this week with Calgary of the Western Hockey League, including a hat trick on Feb. 15 against Lethbridge. Since joining Calgary in January, the 19-year-old center has 13 goals and 14 assists in 19 games.
Skapski’s Streak Reached 10 Games
Rangers 2013 sixth-round pick Mackenzie Skapski picked up his 10th consecutive win last week before it was snapped by Regina on Feb. 12. Following the loss, Skapski has started another winning streak that has reached two games with two wins over Brandon. The 19-year-old is 7-1 with a 1.86 goals against average and a .938 save percentage in February. For the year, Skapski is 23-14-2-1 with a 2.65 GAA and a .919 save percentage.
Graves Gets Offensive
Defenseman Ryan Graves, the Rangers’ 2013 fourth-round pick, picked up a goal and an assist in two games for Val-d’Or of the QMJHL this week. He has a goal and four assists in 14 games with Val-d’Or since being traded there by Charlottetown. Overall, he has four goals and 13 assists in 53 games.
Forward Michael St. Croix picked up two goals and an assist in two games this week for Greenville of the ECHL. In 34 games with the Road Warriors, St. Croix has 10 goals and 25 assists for 35 points.
Kyle Jean had a goal and an assist while Jason Missiaen won two games.
