Derek Stepan enjoyed a productive week, picking up an assist in each of the Rangers’ three games and scoring on a penalty shot to cap the team’s 7-3 win over the Devils on Sunday in The Bronx.
The Olympian assisted on Chris Kreider’s power-play goal on Tuesday that put the Rangers ahead, 3-1, against the Islanders, and followed it up with another tally on Rick Nash’s game-tying goal against the Blues Thursday night. No. 21 picked up his final helper of the week on Sunday on Nash's goal that made it 6-3 Blueshirts. Stepan capped off his week midway through the third period in Sunday’s win on a penalty shot by beating Cory Schneider with a beautifully-timed and placed wristshot for the final marker of the afternoon.
