While Yankee Stadium will be serving as the backdrop for the upcoming 2014 Coors Light Stadium Series
games against the Devils and Islanders, this will not be the first time the Rangers take the stage at the home of the Bronx Bombers.
Shortly after the Blueshirts won the Stanley Cup in 1994, captain Mark Messier, Brian Leetch and Nick Kypreos continued the celebration at the old Yankee Stadium during a Yankees-Twins game.
And that wasn't all. Along with a trip up to the Yankees broadcast booth to visit with the late Phil Rizzuto and Bobby Murcer, each of the visiting Blueshirts got a chance to show off their baseball skills, including Leetch toeing the rubber.
Kypreos stepped up to the plate, as Messier donned catcher's gear...
... and then the Captain hit the batting cage.
