Rangers-Maple Leafs History

This is the second of three meetings this season between the Rangers and Maple Leafs and the second in less than two weeks. In the final game of their nine-game homestand on December 23rd, the Rangers edged the Maple Leafs 2-1 in a game decided by the shootout. Jonathan Bernier starred in goal for Toronto with 42 saves, but he allowed shootout scores to Mats Zuccarello and Derek Stepan, and Cam Talbot outdueled him in the shootout for a Rangers victory. Talbot made 25 saves and just missed out on a shutout when Toronto scored a controversail goal with 1:24 remaining in regulation. The Rangers have recorded at least one point in seven of their last eight games played in Toronto (6-1-1) and hold an all-time 93-162-39-3 mark in the city of Toronto.
