There was much disappointment in the Rangers dressing room following their 5-2 home-ice loss to the Jets Monday night at The Garden, with players lamenting the fact that the team once again was back at .500 on the season. BlueshirtsUnited.com caught up with goaltender Cam Talbot---who made 25 saves but surrendered more than two goals for the first time in eight starts, team captain Ryan Callahan---who scored his seventh goal and tied for the team high with seven shots, and Rick Nash---who also fired seven shots on goal Monday, to discuss what happened in the loss to Winnipeg.
“ .500 hockey is not going to cut it, that's the bottom line. That's not going to get us into the playoffs come April. ”
- Cam Talbot
“ It's on us. It needs to be fixed, it can't continue this way if we want to be where we want to be at the end of the season. We have to be better. ”
- Ryan Callahan
“ 2-2, third period, at home, you have to find a way to win the game, and we didn't do that tonight. It's inconsistency right now we have to figure out. ”
- Rick Nash
