Tuesday Post Game Chatter

“ It was a great goal by Dan (Girardi), but unfortunately we get an unlucky bounce at the end there. That's hockey. ”
- Mats Zuccarello
“ We battled our way back to tie it up, and we just couldn't do enough to get up (a goal). It's never fun to lose a game like that. ”
- Marc Staal
“ We did a lot of good things as a team. Jersey played well. They played hard in their own end and they don't give up much, but we still created chances. We did a lot of good things, but we needed to find a way to win there and we didn't. ”
- Henrik Lundqvist

After receiving a Dan Girardi goal with 6:42 to play in the third period, the Rangers had foged a 2-2 tie with the Devils Tuesday night at The Garden. However New Jersey found a way to get a fortunate bounce after Girardi originally blocked a Dainius Zubrus shot, and the Rangers three-game win streak ended with a 3-2 defeat.

Following the game BlueshirtsUnited.com caught up with Mats Zuccarello---who picked up an assist, fired four shots on goal, and logged 18:32 worth of ice-time, Marc Staal---who scored his second goal of the season and played 18:09, and Henrik Lundqvist---who stopped 25 of 28 Devils shots, to discus the defeat.
