Rangers-Devils History

Tuesday marks the second of five meetings this season between the Rangers and Devils. In the first get together on October 19th at the Prudential Center, the Devils skated to a 4-0 victory as Cory Schneider backstopped a 22-save shutout. Four different Devils scored in that game---Andrei Loktionov, Adam Henrique, Michael Ryder, and Dainius Zubrus. Last season the teams met four times, with the Rangers winning three of those games. The Rangers won both of the games played at Madison Square Garden in a six-day span late in the season, outscoring the Devils 8-1. In the final regular season game of the truncated 2013 campaign, The Garden Faithful serenaded the Devils with chants of "season's over" as New York posted a 4-0 victory before beginning the Stanley Cup Playoffs and New Jersey headed home for the start of the off season. The Rangers have won their last four home games against the Devils dating back two seasons.
