Monday Practice Chatter

“ Consistency is such a big thing in this league and it kind of has eluded us thus far. It's about time we get the job done. ”
- John Moore
“ (Henrik Lundqvist) is one of our top players, definitely a leader and a force on this team, and he's battling right now. He's been the best goaltender in the NHL for quite some time, and I would say it's a safe bet to say he'll find his groove. ”
- Alain Vigneault
“ You expect your top players to be your hardest workers on the team, and Brad (Richards) certainly been playing well for us and we need for him to continue. ”
- Alain Vigneault

The Rangers took part in an hour-plus practice Monday at the MSG Training Center, one that ended with a long grueling set of sprints. All healthy Rangers took part in practice except for Henrik Lundqvist, who was given an extra "maintenance" day following Sunday's day off and with three days still to go before the next game in Philadelphia on Thursday.

Following practice head coach Alain Vigneault talked about his No. 1 goaltender as well as the example Brad Richards has been setting for his teammates, while defenseman John Moore chatted about the team's lack of consistent play so far this season.
