Though he would end up breaking hs thumb later in this contest, Ryan Callahan put forth a monster effort in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Capitals, recording six shots on goal, five hits, amd playing more than 22 minutes. He also scored this impressive goal at 13:51 of the second period, batting a bouncing puck out of midair after a pass from Brad Richards and swatting it baseball-style past Caps goaltender Braden Holtby, doubling the Rangers lead to 2-0 at that point. The goal showed tremendous hand-eye coordination, and was pretty clutch, as well. And it's also our No. 1 Play of the Week.
