Following practice Friday at the MSG Training Center, BlueshirtsUnited.com caught up with several veteran players to get their reaction to the bad news that team captain Ryan Callahan will miss the next 3-4 weeksof action due to a broken thumb.
“ It's bad news but hopefully he's back really quick. We have to get guys to fill in for (Ryan Callahan) at all ends of the ice. ”
- Brad Richards
“ You never want to see Cally go down and get hurt like that, but it's an opportunity for me and other guys in here to step up and help the team. I'm looking forward to that. ”
- Darroll Powe
“ It's definitely a huge loss to have Cally out of the lineup because he was playing so well for us, but the onus is on the rest of the guys in this locker room to step up and fill those holes. ”
