“ My goal is to make the team out of training camp, and a lot will depend on next couple of games, should I play in them. ”
- J.T. Miller
“ I am looking to make the best of it, take advantage of my opportunities. I'm not worried about (hamstring injury earlier in camp), just trying each practice to get better, faster, catch up on what I missed. ”
- J.T. Miller
“ I learned about being consistent every game (last year). You can't afford have so many bad shifts or bad games. I'm just trying to make sure my bad game is not too bad, and that I am more consistent. ”
- J.T. Miller

J.T. Miller wanted to make a solid first impression on the new coaching staff here in training camp, but a sore hamstring limited him in doing so the first couple days of practice, even causing him to miss Sunday's team scrimmage and the first two pre-season games.

Miller says he is healthy now, and he is out to show Alain Vigneault and his staff what he can do as the team practices in Banff, Alberta through the weekend before resuming their pre-season game schedule on Monday against the Calgary Flames.
