Healthy McIlrath Discusses Opportunity

“ They told me they want me to be here. If I'm ready they'll definitely give me a shot, have to prove I can play at this level. ”
- Dylan McIlrath
“ It means I have to win a spot. They've got a lot of veteran d-men, and if I am going to make this team I'm going to have to beat a really good player out. I just want to make the coaches and management have a tough decision. ”
- Dylan McIlrath
“ Yeah, definitely I feel 100 percent. I know back at prospects camp (my knee) was kind of achy fresh off the season, but it's 100 percent now. I feel good, feel like my normal self out there. ”
- Dylan McIlrath

After suffering a disloacted kneecap and missing much of the first half of his rookie pro season, Dylan McIlrath worked his way back into the Connecticut Whale lineup last year and appeared in 45 games, racking up 125 penalty minutes along the way while earning five assists, as well.

Now 100 percent healthy again, the Rangers top pick from the 2010 draft is trying to earn a spot on the varsity in 2013-14.
