Taylor Pyatt does not score many goals from long range. Most come as he charges the crease and uses his big body in front of the net or in the low slot. Such was the case when he scored his first goal as a Ranger, in his Madison Square Garden Blueshirts debut, on January 20th against the Penguins. Pyatt heads straight for the net as Michael Del Zotto controls the puck along the wall following a Brad Richards pass. Del Zotto alertly feeds into the slot where Pyatt redirects the puck past Pens goalie Tomas Vokoun. That goal kick-started a three-game goal scoring streak for Pyatt.
