Carl Hagelin's first goal of 2013 came in the team's eighth game of the season, and it proved to be the game-winner in a 3-2 victory over the Lightning down in Tampa. Taylor Pyatt's strong work along the wall wins the puck, and his soft touch pass leads a streaking Hagelin perfectly to the low slot where a quick poke by Hagelin slips the disc past Lightning netminder Mathieu Garon with 5:13 to play in the third period. The goal gave New York a 3-1 lead at the time, and proved to be the winner when Steven Stamkos scored in the final seconds for Tampa Bay.
