Carl Hagelin had gone 11 games without a goal heading into the Rangers April 10th encounter with the Maple Leafs at Madison Square Garden. But he would finally break through 10:55 into the second period of that game, tying the score 1-1 in the process---a game the Rangers would win 3-2 in a shootout. Twice Hagelin ends up down on the ice during this scoring play, but his hard work behind Toronto's net helps keep the puck alive in the offensive zone, before he finds himself alone to the side of the cage to convert a rebound past Leafs goalie James Reimer for his ninth goal of the season. Hagelin later assisted on Ryan McDonagh's goal for a two-point night, one of six multiple-point games he had on the season.
