No. 5: Crucial Goal in Game 4 vs. B's

The flukiest goal he scored all year, was also one of Carl Hagelin's most important. With the Rangers trailing the Bruins 2-0 in Game Four of the playoff semifinals May 23rd at The Garden---and with the Blueshirts facing the prospect of being swept out of the playoffs---Hagelin beats Boston goalie Tuukka Rask with a backhand shot which is first partially blocked by a Bruins defenseman and then trickles past Rask, under his stick and over the goal line when Rask loses his balance and inexplicably falls to the ice. The goal---which came at 8:39 of the second period, 58 seconds after Boston's second goal---set the stage for a Rangers comeback which Chris Kreider finished with an overtime goal for a 4-3 Blueshirts victory.
