Dan Girardi completed his seventh season with the Rangers in 2013, another rock-solid one in which he led the NHL with 125 blocked shots and ranked eighth in average ice-time (25:24). The tough as nails defenseman also was credited with 102 hits, not to mention too-many-to-count clutch plays in his own end throughout the season.

On the offensive side of the puck, Girardi scored two goals and totaled 14 points while playing in 46 regular season games; and then led Rangers defensemen with two goals and tied with Ryan McDonagh with four points while appearing in all 12 post-season contests.
