Game Five Postgame Chatter

“ I expected more for us and I hoped for more. It's an empty feeling. The hardest thing is realizing that it's over. ”
- Henrik Lundqvist
“ This is really tough. It's really difficult, especially these next couple of weeks. Our group in here, we came together pretty good and we believed in one another. It just didn't happen for us. ”
- Brian Boyle
“ We expect a lot out of ourselves, both individually and as a team. Everybody in this room wants to contribute and be an impact player. We just need to learn from this and try and be better the next time around. ”
- Ryan McDonagh

The Rangers season came to an end Saturday evening in Boston. The Blueshirts 3-1 loss in Game Five eliminated them from post-season play, with the team playing its best hockey of their semifinal series with the Bruins.

In an extremely disappointed postgame dressing room, BlueshirtsUnited.com caught up with goaltender Henrik Lundqvist---who stopped 29 of 31 shots on Saturday, center Brian Boyle--who had an assist, four hits, and logged more than 20 minutes of ice time, and defenseman Ryan McDonagh--who played nearly 29 minutes of fiercely competitive hockey, to discuss Game Five, the series with Boston, and the end to the season.
