McDonagh Tallies Assist
Defenseman Ryan McDonagh assisted on Pyatt’s goal to give him a goal and an assist in the series against Boston. He finished with three hits in 21:14 of ice time. His three points are tied with Dan Girardi for the team lead among defensemen.
Strong Game For Moore
Defenseman John Moore was credited with a game-high four blocked shots in 13:01 of ice time. He’s tied for 11th in the NHL with 17 blocked shots this postseason.
Callahan Gets Physical
Rangers captain Ryan Callahan had a game-high seven hits to go along with four shots in 23:37 of ice time. He leads all players in the postseason with 53 hits. He’s finished with more than 20 minutes of ice time in nine of the team’s 10 postseason games this season.
Lundqvist Shines in Loss
Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist was sensational despite the loss, making 32 saves, including several on odd-man rushes. It was the 20th time in his career he made more than 30 saves. He’s gone 9-11 with a 1.56 goals against average and a .941 save percentage with four shutouts in those games. It was Lundqvist's first Game 3 loss since 2009 against the Washington Capitals.
