No. 2 – Derek Stepan (2G, 2A, 4PTS)

Derek Stepan concluded his stellar season in the same place he has been for nearly the entire campaign: on the score sheet. Entering this week, Stepan rode a four-game point streak, which was snapped in Tuesday’s 3-2 loss to the Panthers. But he made up for it with a goal and an assist in each of the Rangers’ final two games, including the game winner in a 4-0 season-finale thrashing of the Devils.

Arguably the Rangers’ most consistent forward all year, Stepan finished the season as one of only four Rangers to play in all 48 games. Stepan’s 44 points are only seven points shy of his career-high from a season ago, despite playing 34 fewer games.
In addition, Stepan had points in twelve of the Rangers’ fourteen games in the month of April, contributing eight goals and eleven assists. His nineteen points factored in over one third of the Rangers’ 52 goals in the month of April, which was the highest scoring total of any team in the league.
