Ryan Callahan's ability to switch to a higher gear and seemingly carry the team on his back when the team needs him the most has become a staple of the Rochester native’s game.
Captain Cally continued that trend this week with his heroic goal Thursday night to clinch a playoff spot for the Rangers with their 4-3 overtime win over the Carolina Hurricanes. In addition to the memorable goal, Callahan added another goal and three helpers and a plus-5 rating to extend his point-streak to seven games. He wouldn't be Ryan Callahan without racking up six hits and four blocked shots as well.
If Callahan and the rest of the Rangers team are able to continue their dominant offensive play into the playoffs, he said “We’ll be a dangerous team.”
