Rangers: The Rangers have won eight of their last nine meetings with the Hurricanes, including both this season. New York has outscored Carolina 30-18 over their past nine games against one another. This year the Rangers skated to a 2-1 shootout victory over the 'Canes at Madison Square Garden on March 18th before their 4-1 road victory on April 6th which was highlighted by Henrik Lundqvist's 48-save performance. The Rangers have won each of their last four visits to Raleigh, and six of their last seven.

Hurricanes: Carolina has dressed 35 different players---including three goalies---through 46 games this season, and that number will rise Thursday when Jared Staal makes his NHL debut. Only four players have appeared in every game so far this season---Eric Staal, Jordan Staal, Jay Harrison, and Jiri Tlusty, while two players have appeared in only one game---including Zach Boychuk, who was claimed by three different teams off waivers this season.
