“You look for some of the good in some of the people who went right into the area that was bombed and tried to help out any way they could. Some of the runners who came off and went right to the hospitals to try and donate blood.” – Brian Boyle
Both Brian Boyle and Matt Gilroy have ties to the Boston area by either growing up there or playing their college hockey — or both. Both players shared their thoughts and feelings with the media about how they felt following the bombings at the Boston Marathon on Monday afternoon. “It really hits home” said Gilroy, and Boyle shared his sentiments. As Boyle points out, though, it is important to find the good in such a tragic situation.
