Forward Rick Nash scored two goals and led all skaters with seven shots in 21:48 of ice time. Nash has a three-game goal streak (four goals),  and 10 points — including seven goals — in his last eight games. 

Nash leads the team with 17 goals and 35 points this season, and now has three two-goal games this season.

 

Step Stays Hot

Not to be outdone by Nash, Derek Stepan picked up a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to five games, tying his career-high. Stepan had points in five straight from Dec. 16, 2010 to Dec. 29, 2010. He had a team-high 14 faceoff wins in 21:04 of ice time.

 

Stepan has been producing at more than a point per game pace, registering 24 points, including 11 goals, in his last 21 games. 

 

Emminger Three Away from 100

Defenseman Steve Eminger picked up his second assist of the season and added two blocked shots in 11:23 of ice time. The 29-year-old is now just two points shy of 100 for his NHL career.

 

Cally Gets Physical … As Usual

Rangers captain Ryan Callahan finished with five its and tied for the game-high with three blocked shots in 22:25 of ice time.

 

Callahan is No. 9 in the NHL in hits with 131, and first in the NHL among forwards with 54 blocked shots.

 

One Moore Point

Defenseman John Moore registered an assist, two hits and tied for the game-high with three blocked shots in 9:00 of ice time. The assist was his second point in four games as a Ranger.
