One Moore Goal

Newly acquired defenseman John Moore scored the Rangers final goal of the game Wednesday night in his Rangers debut. He logged 14:09 of ice time. It was Moore's third goal of his career in his 87th NHL game, and his first since Dec. 31, 2011 against the Washington Capitals as a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Richie Records Three Points

Brad Richards finished with a goal and two assists in 15:26 of ice time Wednesday night. It was his first three-point night this season, and first since March 30, 2012 against the Montreal Canadiens. 

 

He now has six points in his last six games.

 

Mac Gets Game-Winner

Defenseman Ryan McDonagh tallied the game-winning goal in the first period, and finished with 18:07 of ice time. The Rangers improved to 8-1-1 when Mac registers a point.

 

His 18:07 was the least amount he's logged since Feb. 23 against the Montreal Canadiens, when he left the game due to injury. It was just the third game this season he's played fewer than 20 minutes.

 

Stepan Skates in No. 200

Center Derek Stepan recorded an assist, two blocked shots and 12 faceoff wins in 20:58 of ice time while skating in his 200th career NHL game. He has never missed a game since the start of his career in Oct. 2010. 

 

Stepan has 50 goals and 74 points for his career.

 

The 22-year-old now has a point in 13 of the last 18 games, registering nine goals and 10 assists over that span.

 

Hags Reaches 100 Games

Carl Hagelin skated in his 100th career NHL game Wednesday night, registering two shots on goal in 11:59 of ice time. He has 22 goals and 34 assists in his career.
