No. 1: Derek Stepan (2g, 3a, 5p)

There's no question Stepan was the team's best player this past week. In the loss to the Capitals, Stepan found his offense with a power play goal to tie the game late in the first period, and later scored the Rangers lone goal in the shootout. Despite the loss, the goal boosted Stepan's confidence, which carried over into the next game against Philadelphia on Tuesday. Stepan had his best game of the season with a goal and three assists for his first ever four-point game in the NHL, as well as his first three-assist night.

The 22-year-old now has 25 points in 33 games, just three behind Nash for the team lead. According to, Stepan is on pace for 61 points in an 82-game season, which would be a career-high.
