Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh set a new career-high with six shots on goal, eclipsing his previous high of four, which he set on several occasions. He was credited with a team-high three blocked shots in 25:26 of ice time.
McDonagh has logged more than 25 minutes of ice time in 12 games this season.
Birthday Boy Sets Season-High
Rangers captain Ryan Callahan tied his season-high with seven shots on goal and led all forwards with 24:53 of ice time. He had seven shots on goal on Jan. 26 against the Winnipeg Jets.
Callahan set his career-high of eight shots on goal on his birthday last year against the Detroit Red Wings.
Kreider Returns to Rangers
In his first game back since being recalled from the Connecticut Whale, forward Chris Kreider finished the night with 12:03 of ice time. He had two hits.
Hags Sets Career Ice TIme
Speedster Carl Hagelin finished his night with 24:26 of ice time, setting a new career-high. His previous high came earlier this year on Feb. 21 against the Ottawa Senators, when he logged 23:43.
