The winger finished the night with a season-high eight shots on goal, and the most he's had since registering eight on Oct. 15, 2011 against the New York Islanders.
700 Games for Nash
Rick Nash tallied an assist while playing in his 700th career NHL game. The winger has now recorded a point in 12 of his last 16 games, registering eight goals and 10 assists during the stretch.
Nash still needs one goal for 300 in his career.
MDZ Tallies an Assist
Rangers defenseman Michael Del Zotto recorded an assist on Gaborik's goal and tied his career-high with six shots on goal in 22:43 of ice time. The last time Del Zotto finished with six shots was March 8 against the Ottawa Senators.
The 22-year-old now has three points in his last two games.
Hank Keeps Opponent Under 2 Goals
For the 16th time this season, Henrik Lundqvist held his opponent to two goals or fewer. Through 26 starts last season, Lundqvist held opponents to two goals or fewer in 17 games.
