Hags Back in the Goal Column

Rangers winger Carl Hagelin snapped his nine-game goal drought with his first period goal that gave the Rangers a 2-1 lead. Despite not finding the net, the 24-year-old has still been putting up points, registering seven goals and eight assists in his last 19 games, including six points over the last eight contests.

Shorthanded Step

Derek Stepan assisted on Del Zotto's shorthanded goal in the first period to give him 11 points in his last 11 games.

One-sided Rivalry

The Rangers have registered at least one point in 14 of their last 21 meetings with the Devils, going 12-7-2 over that span. Since the 2007-08 season, the Blueshirts are 21-9-3 against their cross-river rivals, with Lundqvist posting a 21-9-2 record with a 2.00 GAA and .927 save percentage, with six shutouts.

Tight Games

Despite their impressive record against New Jersey, games have been tight. Following last night's 3-2 final, 15 of the last 19 meetings between the two teams have been separated by two goals or less.
