While it's the oldest debut on this list, it's also the most important. After all, this list wouldn't exist if it weren't for this one. Joining the New York Americans as the second hockey club to be playing at MSG, the Rangers started things the right way, with a 1-0 win over the now defunct Montreal Maroons.
The positivity continued the following year with the team's first Stanley Cup victory when they defeated those same Maroons, 3-2, in the finals.
